American lawmaker and outspoken advocate against the persecution of Christians, Congressman Riley Moore, has confirmed his visit to Nigeria, saying he arrived “in the name of the Lord and on behalf of the American people.”

In a brief statement, Moore described the trip as a “very productive Congressional visit,” noting that he held several meetings with Nigerian government officials as well as local communities. His itinerary also included a stop in Benue State, one of the regions most affected by recurring violence and displacement.
The congressman added that he will release more details soon, signing off with a Sunday message: “Happy Sunday. God is great!”
More updates are expected from his office in the coming days.
