Pope Francis is dead on April 21, 2025 at the age of 88 according to the Vatican report. He died at 07:35 CEST at his house in Domus Sanctae Marthae, Vatican City.
The news of his death was announced by Cardinal Kevin Farrell, the Camerlengo of the Holy Roman Church, on Vatican Media.
Before his death, Pope Francis was face some health issues struggling with chronic lung damage, knee problems, and sciatica, which that made him to start using a wheelchair or cane.
Recently he had met with US Vice President JD Vance and made a surprise public appearance to bless audiences at Saint Peter’s Square.
The exact thing that led to the death of Pope Francis death is currently unknown. But he had a history of health issues, including bronchitis and pneumonia, which led to a prolonged hospital stay in February 2025.
Even with his health challenges, he continued to carry out his papal duties until his death. May his soul rest in peace.
