Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has declared the Abuja-Kaduna highway safe, crediting improved security measures under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday, August 27, after traveling the route without escorts, Omokri said his experience proved that the once-dangerous road is no longer as risky as it used to be.
“I didn’t come here with security and I’m here, safe and sound. I have a lot of people who are political opponents to me, people who would love to see the worst happen to me. Yet, I’m here to prove that this road is safe,” he said.
Omokri noted that military outposts have been positioned at regular intervals along the highway, describing them as both fixed and mobile.
“Abuja to Kaduna road is safe. There are security outposts at every kilometre. And those military outposts are mobile. The security is not just happening by faith, it is happening by the works of the government. The Tinubu administration has done a lot of work here,” he added.
