Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, aka 2Baba, has reacted to viral claims that he was arrested in London after allegedly fighting with his new wife, Natasha.
The rumours started from a controversial blogger, who alleged that the singer got into a domestic dispute and was picked up by authorities. They also linked his absence from his UK tour performance on Thursday to the supposed arrest.
But 2Baba has now cleared the air, saying the reports are false. According to him, he missed the show because of a medical emergency, not because of any fight or arrest.
In a video message to his fans, he thanked everyone who came out for the event and assured them that the concert would be rescheduled.
His words:
“First of all, I want to say everyone that came out, I appreciate you. We had a medical emergency, it was tough. To the organizers and everyone that came out, we go regroup and make something beautiful happen. And please, if una no sabi something, make una no talk abeg. This allegedly, I don tire.”
